PRINCE DOBBY

Prince (renamed Dobby) was my first rehabilitation tripaw case in Türkiye. He lost his front right leg whilst still very young. His recovery & rehab took 6 weeks.

After being let down by fosters and expat charities, he was blocked from adoption enquiries inside Türkiye in favour of transport to the UK because the expats involved make money from the transport. His adoption failed in 2022 when the new family were shocked to see his physical and mental condition had deteriorated since he left my care and he had no adoption adaptation support from the “charity”.

Luckily, Dobby was rescued temporarily by Katie Hollingsworth after the original adopters advertised him online for free in 2023. He was in a terrible state of depression and overweight but to her credit, Katie contacted me and followed the guidance to get him back to a healthy state. She renamed him Dobby.

Unfortunately somewhere along the line between the expat fosters, the transport company and his failed adoption, Dobby developed trauma which would trigger even during his sleep and would need experienced owners.

Wolfie’s Legacy stepped in to foster Dobby indefinitely and they found his forever family who had also adopted disabled dogs in the past. He is now living in North Wales and I was lucky enough to visit him in his new home in June 2025.
