On New Year’s Day 2025 while walking one of the D.R.E.A.M dogs in Fethiye we saw this cute little puppy chained to a rock in an old cemetary with no food or water.
He was desperate for physical contact and affection just as much as for food and water. He can’t have understood why he was being abandoned when he was left there to die chained to a rock.
I took him with me to a local pet-friendly cafe to get some water and something to eat for him. It was impossible to get him checked and vaccinated on a public holiday so we just had to wait.
I kept him with me overnight. The next day I checked to see what local municipal offices could offer to help him in terms of funded vaccinations, sterilisation, chip etc. Nothing for a puppy that small so I took him to the vets for flea, worming and his first puppy vaccination.
I named him Mini Kral (Kral is Turkish for King) because he was found around the burial grounds of the famous rock tombs of King Amintas (Kral Amintas).
Thankfully he has now been adopted by a wonderful family in Wales and they have renamed him Oscar.
I transported Oscar to his new home on the 14th June 2025 (6 hours land transfer, 4 hours flying, 10 hours by boat, 5 hours train and London Underground).
I do not charge adoption or transport fees. Donations are gratefully received. Thank you.
