McConnell Dog Refuge

I met Suzanne McConnell and George Reed when I was living in Morocco back in 2015. The refuge was set up due to the mass poisonings of the street dogs in Tangier.

Located miles from anywhere in the province of Chaouen at the bottom of a valley, George donated use of his land for protecting dogs.

Vehicles could not access the refuge, we had to carry the bags of food 2km on foot - thankfully it was all downhill!
