D.R.E.A.M DOGS REFUGE

our dog refuge as it is today

Building A D.R.E.A.M

Türkiye is murdering dogs by the thousands and they’ve passed a law making it legal for municipalities to carry out some of the most inhumane acts of terror across the country. Dog-hating citizens are now emboldened to commit atrocities against innocent dogs, some of which have been recorded with a growing minority of protestors suppressed or silenced altogether.

While I still have an unhomed rescue in my care, I will not be going anywhere. In the face of such cruelty and impossible odds of change in a country where the majority are raised from childhood to regard dogs as filthy animals to either use as tools to be chained outside as cheap security measures or be exterminated as dangerous vermin, it would be easy to give up and find an easier location with a more animal-friendly culture to operate in.

There are no viable work opportunities that I’ve come across within Türkiye for a foreigner trying to help keep dogs safe and get them rehomed. So invariably, when my survival budget runs out, I come back to the UK and Europe for work opportunities to save up enough to return to care for them.

our rescues in temporary foster kennels since December 2025

Whilst I’m away, there are very limited options for comfortable and affordable foster care so the D.R.E.A.M rescues go to kennels - they may suffer with exposure to weather, anxiety and fear around other strange dogs that may be in distress, but the main thing is they are as safe as I can ensure whilst I’m away.

The urgent priority is always to return to get them back to having access to warm, peaceful and comfortable home conditions as the search for suitable adoption continues.

we have the safe space available to rescue more dogs

At the moment, the D.R.E.A.M refuge consists of a one bedroom cabin that they have access to through the day and night as well as an outside fenced area.

The dream is to expand the paving out further to create a larger space as well as divisions for safe separation when new dogs are rescued as well as solid weatherproof enclosures for street dogs not yet used to understanding that it’s ok to be inside the home with the humans, something the majority of people in Türkiye regard as filthy.

Currently in looking for any kind of work as well as fundraising for two main objectives:
